The Classroom Environment

Enhance Class Updates and Assignments

When Professor David Murray was assigned four classes in one semester, he wanted to create an environment that was collaborative and participatory. Having used discussion boards in the past, he was seeking a solution that would allow for a more personal touch to simply written text. He turned to Loop :45 and created four class Groups, each with their own set of students, playlists, and assignments. Each week, Professor Murray created :45s to highlight the upcoming class details, expectations and case study assignments. In turn, he asked each of his students to create one :45 per week that would serve as part of their homework assignment. The results in the classroom were immediately felt. Professor Murray felt he got to know his students better and faster. The students knew each other better. And those who may have been hesitant to speak up in class found their voice through Loop :45.
